A Woman Scorned, Title Trouble

Wednesday Night Face-Off resumed it's normal broadcast this week, although some viewers were unable to watch the show due to a postponed showing in many areas, but the EWA has certainly not lost momentum as far as action is concerned! It was a highlight reel of a night, but some issues must be addressed first and foremost, so let's talk about those.
For weeks, EWA Tag Team Champion Freakazoid has been suffering a great deal of frustration at the lack of competition he has faced. He made his frustrations known to the fans and to the General Manager, Nicolas Griffin. Well, this week on Face-Off, Griffin responded with some harsh declarations of his own. First, Freakazoid would be facing two-time champions Doomsday (World Heavyweight) and Donzig (the two-time and current Extreme Champion) in an Extreme Rules Handicap match. Freakazoid was not very disturbed, welcoming the challenge with open arms. The Freak Show made a declaration of his own, wanting another chance at the EWA Extreme Championship against Donzig. With a victory over the dangerous duo, he may get what he desires.
Another declaration was made by the general manager. This one was less favorable than ever amongst the fans, as Griffin has removed the EWA Cruiserweight Championship from competition, stripping the title from the current champion, Oli Griffiths. Though Griffin demanded the title be handed over by the champion, no answer was heard from Griffiths. What are his thoughts? Will he hand over the title so lightly? Is this the end of the cruiserweight division as we know it?
In other news, Spawn and Doomsday met in the center of a fifteen-foot-high steel cage. Having not been seen in several weeks, Spawn came armed to bear, lashing out with a variety of hellacious and powerful moves against Doomsday. Yet trickery would be the device of the former World Champion. With the aide of Donzig, Doomsday was able to defeat his opponent, smashing him with his patented steel pipe over and over again before exiting the cage. It appears Doomsday and Donzig have their eyes set on the Tag Team Champions, but to what end? Do they have desires for Tag Team Gold?
Also, there was a Triple Threat Match in the women's division, featuring former champion Aether, pitted against a returning former champion, Sasha Talouse. Nikki Chalice also participated in the match, but you really couldn't tell. The fight was solely between the two former champions. Sasha Talouse bringing her smash-mouth style, while Aether used a variety of agile techniques to avoid serious damage. This match was sure to be another highlight reel classic, were it not for the interference of the current Women's Champion, Phade. In the middle of the match, the lights in the arena went out. When the arose again, all three competitors were covered in black ooze. Sasha and Nikki were laid out in the ring, while Phade stood in the center of the ring and executed her "Twist of Phade" maneuver on Aether. The Champion looks to continue her reign and will use any methods she can to get there.
In the main event, it was a Champions showcase. The World Heavyweight Champion, Caspian Celette, locked up with the Extreme Champion, Donzig. Surely it was a classic to behold. Caspian Celette remained in control for a good portion of the match, but Donzig would not be taken out easily. With each passing maneuver from Celette, Donzig's fury burned brighter. It was a surprise "Clock Shock" from out of nowhere that took down the Hardcore Incarnate for the three count. Could this lead to another championhip showcase, but with both titles on the line? Now THAT would be legendary.
Tune in to Wednesday Night Face-Off with a postponed start time on Friday due to the Presidential Election this week. Get out there and vote!
